I Built a Wiki for AI Agents (Using Obsidian + Hermes)

October 7, 2026

What if your company had one set of SOPs that both humans and AI agents could use? We’ve spent decades building documentation, wikis, and standard operating procedures for people. But as AI agents become part of the workforce, we need to think differently about how we document the way a business operates. In this video, I use Hermes and Obsidian to build an AI-readable company wiki from an existing support workspace. I’ll show you how to: - Create SOPs that work for both humans and AI agents - Use Markdown as a format that people and machines can understand - Turn an existing workspace into a structured knowledge base - Use Hermes to create and organize an Obsidian wiki - Build documentation from real tickets, entities, concepts, and workflows - Use Obsidian's graph view to see relationships across your documentation - Create a potential single source of truth for your business - Have an AI agent maintain and update documentation as work gets done The bigger idea is that documentation shouldn't just explain how a business works to its employees. It should also explain how the business works to its AI agents. I also compare an Obsidian + Hermes approach with a traditional documentation platform like Confluence, looking at licensing, maintenance, data residency, portability, and the cost of keeping documentation up to date. This isn't just about building a wiki. It's about thinking about business knowledge as infrastructure for both humans and AI agents.
